Old News

Americans have red and blue mixed up.

For a "uniter, not a divider", who spent 4 years uniting the country back to civil war era polarization, they sure got him back into office in a hurry.

If we play our cards right, we could see all of North Eastern and Pacific USA join Canada w/i these next 4 years.

New News

The autopsy results on Arafat came in. His official cause of death is listed as "having read so many news reports that he was dead, he started believing it himself"

An autopsy is also set to be done on the mummy of King Tutankhamen. Using new X-raying technologies, archaeologist will soon be able to solve this 3000+ year old mystery, to find out once and for all if his death was accidental or if the Egyptians were just really eager to start building the next pyramid.

my brother's computer is making funny noises... it sounds like a washing machine. O_o i think it's gonna explode!!

susannah and i had lunch at stc today. we're gonna have a regular lunch schedule. :) i tried the vine leaves plate from villa madina. it was quite interesting - a big pile of cabbage and tomatoes in a minty dressing, parsley and tomatoes and some grainy stuff in another dressing, hummus (good stuff - better than the grocery store!), 3 purpley pickled turnip strips, 4 stuffed mini vine leaves with chewy rice inside. not too bad. though super pricey - $7.46 for the entire plate including tax. at least i didn't fall asleep after lunch cuz i didn't have much carbs even though i felt rather full.

i have a headache. i think it might be from staring at the computer screen all day. or maybe cuz of tension. tension headache. i wish i had more meetings to go to.

Smell My Feet

What's up w/ all them churches having "Fall Fests" on Hallowe'en? I can see how Hallowe'en might not be for you--I mean, it's the one night we tell our children to do the exact opposite of what we've been telling them not to do all the other days of the year. a) Don't accept candy from strangers. b) Don't go running around in dark clothing at night--but to come up w/ an "alternative" to Hallowe'en although still keeping the candy and the costumes, only call it something else, is just plain retardation. What next? Have a Spring Fest on St. Patty's day and wear green (but not dark green) and have shamrocks (but not 4 leaf clovers)? WTF? Okay, if anything, shouldn't the churches have their Fall Fests on Nov. 1st, AKA All Saints' Day?? Dumb churchies.
