i finally made spinach lasagna for dinner tonight. it was pretty watery... but still very yummy! i wonder if anyone can mess up lasagna. i bought stewed tomatoes instead of crushed and couldn't find tomato paste anywhere. oh well. the spinach lasagna ed and i made a month ago turned out better... that's cuz ed was there. :P
i feel kinda isolated these days. it seems like the only ppl i see regularly are my parents and church ppl. oh yes, and heidi. and work ppl. but i like having a bit more time at home (though it doesn't seem like that much more).
we're going through a re-org at work. there's lotsa tension in the air. i'm not really affected other than that it changes the ppl i work with. i don't have to change office locations or programs, like the public health nurses do. they're really stressed about that. lots of uncertainty. doesn't make for a good work envt. on top of that, all the nutrition and physical activity nurses are up to their ears in work. lots of new programs, and not enough staff. it seems like everywhere i go, there's re-organization! they were going thru that at world vision canada when i worked there last yr.
hmm... i better call iulia and go grocery shopping for iron chef this friday before food basics closes. tata!!

happy thanksgiving everyone!
i went to wayne & jessica's wedding yesterday and it was so nice and pretty. :) i've been to some great weddings this yr! the ones i esp love the best are the ones where i can feel the warmth and closeness of family and friends - where you can tell there's a real community surrounding and supporting the couple. i don't think i could ever get tired of weddings. esp when they're my good friends getting married. each wedding is different from any other... and it always makes me *sigh* when i think of the love and the perseverance that has brought each couple together on their wedding day. *sigh* :)
i was driving down (and up) the dvp today and noticed all the beautiful fall colours! there's a stretch on morningside ave btwn lawrence and ellesmere that is over a valley and it's absolutely gorgeous! trees stretching as far as the eye can see!
most recent pet peeve: cyclists who don't follow road signs. hellooo!! you're a vehicle too! the stop sign applies as much to YOU as it does to cars!! if it wasn't for my super observational and anticipation skills (lol) i probably would've run over a cyclist or two by now just cuz they didn't stop at stop signs and rode right into the middle of traffic!!! grrrrr....
